SBE Butterfly Valves

The SBE butterfly valve is suitable for shutting off, regulating, and throttling mildly corrosive and abrasive process media in liquid, powder, or gaseous form. Its robust and compact design with small installation dimensions allows for versatile integration into existing piping systems. Thanks to its modular design, the valve can be operated flexibly, either manually or automatically.

Main Features

Robust design with compact dimensions

The compact design allows for space-saving integration into piping systems. The robust construction ensures reliable operation even with demanding process media.

Selection of linings and disc materials

The SBE is available with linings made of EPDM, FPM (Viton®), NBR, VMQ (silicone), or SBR. The selection of high-quality materials for the lining and disc allows for a design tailored to the specific process medium.

Hysteresis-free control characteristic

The one-piece disc/shaft assembly with a polished disc sealing lip provides hysteresis-free control characteristics and supports precise flow control.

Reliable sealing without additional flange gaskets

The wide, O-ring-shaped sealing strips eliminate the need for additional flange gaskets. The design ensures a completely gas-tight seal across the entire intended pressure and temperature range.

Modular system for manual and automated operation

The open shaft end allows for easy installation of various actuators. The SBE can be equipped with a ratchet lever, manual gearbox, or pneumatic rotary actuator—either double-acting or single-acting.

The SBE butterfly valve stands out for its robust design, versatile material options, and modular construction. It is available in DIN and ANSI versions and comes standard with an exposed shaft end. Depending on requirements, it can be equipped with a ratchet lever, manual gear, or pneumatic rotary actuator in single- or double-acting versions.

For different operating conditions, housings are available in cast steel 1.0619 (WCB) or cast stainless steel 1.4408 (CF-8M), as well as various lining materials such as EPDM, FPM (Viton®), NBR, VMQ (silicone), and SBR. This allows the design to be specifically tailored to the respective medium and operating conditions.

The modular design allows for easy integration and combination of various actuation and automation components.
