SBV Ball Valves

The SBV series is a lined ball valve designed for reliable shutoff, and flow control in highly corrosive or hazardous liquid, and gaseous service.

Offered in both DIN and ANSI configurations, it can be directly mounted to a variety of topworks such as hand lever, quarter-turn gearbox, or pneumatic and electric actuation etc.

Constructed with the highest quality materials, this valve is FDA compliant, class VI bubble tight, with zero fugitive emissions.

ISO Flange

Upper flange conforming to ISO 5211 for direct mounting of actuators, which simplifies integration into automated systems. No ISO mounting kit required.

Metal-on-metal

The valve body halves are metal-to-metal (self-adjusting
permanent preload), which ensures greater reliability during temperature fluctuations; the heavy-duty, robust design is maintenance-free and guarantees easy grounding of the valve for ATEX applications.

Low-dead-space design

Thanks to the design with minimal dead space, less fluid remains in the valve—ensuring maximum process reliability, hygiene, and easy cleaning. Swissfluid’s SMART ball seats not only eliminate dead space but also reduce wear.

Maintenance-free stem seal requiring no readjustment

The live-loaded packing arrangement eliminates field adjustments for a long-term, maintenance-free valve.

One-piece duplex ball and spindle

Forged from a single piece of duplex stainless steel, 25% stronger than ductile iron. The overload protection is located outside the valve and is designed to prevent leaks.

Metal-Sealed Housing Connection

The pipeline forces are absorbed by the flange. This prevents thermal expansion from being transmitted to the lining, the seats, or the stem seal. The valve remains leak-tight throughout its entire service life.

Housing designed for maximum durability

The housing, made of 1.0619 cast steel, offers an extended operating temperature range and greater strength than ductile iron. The 1.4408 cast stainless steel version offers high corrosion resistance.

Direct ISO 5211 drive connection

The drive connection allows for direct mounting of a drive without an additional mounting kit. Lower weight, more compact design, and no hysteresis in the control loop.

Lining for aggressive chemistries

PFA standard, with PFA-AS anti-static, ETFE and PVDF on request. Plus Titanium and Hastelloy ball options.

The SBV ball valve was developed for demanding industrial applications involving corrosive, diffusing, toxic, or sensitive liquids and gaseous media. The uniform lining with a wall thickness of at least 3 mm, along with the optimized internal geometry, minimizes dead spaces and provides high resistance to aggressive media.

 

 

The innovative, self-adjusting sealing system ensures a reliable seal and a long, maintenance-free service life even under demanding process conditions. The robust metal-to-metal body construction with dynamic stem sealing meets the requirements of TA-Luft (VDI 2440 / EN ISO 15848-1) and ensures maximum operational safety.

 

 

Thanks to its modular design, the SBV ball valve can be flexibly adapted to various process requirements. Various ball geometries, lining materials, and optional configurations enable optimal design for numerous applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, and process industries. Depending on the requirements, solutions are available for flow control, pressure relief, or the reduction of media residues.

 

 

Thanks to the ISO 5211 mounting flange, the ball valve can be easily automated. It is available with DIN or ANSI flanges, cast steel or stainless steel bodies, and in full-bore or reduced-bore configurations, offering a reliable solution for shutting off and regulating demanding media.
