The SSB sampling valve enables safe and representative sampling of aggressive and/or toxic media from pressurized pipes and vessels without interrupting the process. The defined sample volume (standard 40 ml) ensures a consistent, reproducible sample quantity, while the sample is safely isolated from the process when the valve is actuated.

Main Features

Defined sample volume and reliable isolation

The specified sample volume of 40 ml (1.35 oz) ensures a consistent and reproducible sample quantity. As soon as the valve is activated, the collected sample is isolated from the process.

Full flow without pressure drop

The full-bore design allows for unobstructed media flow through the valve and prevents additional pressure drop. The valve is also pig-cleanable.

Safe and easy operation

The lockable hand lever with two end stops allows for clear and easy 180° operation. The design also features only one opening to the atmosphere.

Leak-free sealing and direct drive configuration

The dynamic sealing system ensures a leak-free shaft seal. The ISO flange, compliant with ISO 5211, allows for the direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators.

Easy Maintenance

Using the same replacement parts for all sizes simplifies maintenance and reduces the effort required for service and upkeep.

The SSB was developed for the safe sampling of aggressive and/or toxic media from pressurized pipes and vessels. Sampling takes place without interrupting the process and without a flush. Thanks to the defined sample volume of 40 ml, a constant and reproducible sample quantity is available with every withdrawal.

When the valve is actuated, the extracted sample is separated from the process. This allows the sample to be safely isolated while the medium remains in the process. This enables controlled sampling even under demanding process conditions.

The SSB is suitable for manual, automated, and time-controlled sampling and can therefore be flexibly integrated into various sampling concepts.
